Before & After Project Photos

Berry - Living Room Remodel - Beginning Process
This is an interior remodel I did after downsizing recently to my new home in Newnan, Georgia.
The living room was dark, with very little natural light and no character. This photo shows the beginning construction of a built in craftsman style bookcase that I designed that will feature an electric fireplace and benches for much needed extra seating.

Berry - Main Kitchen Area Before Remodel
This was my own small, dark kitchen that I acquired when downsizing to Newnan recently. It was much too dark in natural and overhead lighting, as well as wall and flooring colors. It had too little cabinetry to be functionable, no pantry and only a small roll away island. Appliances needed updating as well.
Berry - Main Kitchen Area After Remodel
New custom cabinetry with craftsman crown, taken to the ceiling for more cabinet space and a higher end look, as well as new appliances were added.
Abundant recessed lighting and new, lighter colored engineered wood flooring were added. A large waterfall island with trash storage, more drawers and center cabinet, as well as seating for two was added. New quartz countertops, textured porcelain backsplash as well as gunmetal cabinet pulls and faucet completed the look.

Berry - Old Laundry Closet in the Kitchen Area, with door to the backyard on the right.
Laundry was moved to another location to make room for more needed cabinetry/kitchen storage, and a new window to let more natural light into the kitchen.
Berry - New Kitchen Cabinet Wall with Added Window
This cabinet area is where the old laundry space was. A window was added to bring in natural light, and much needed new cabinetry was added to serve as pantry and more storage space. Lit glass cabinets give the area an even lighter feel, and a stacked pencil stone backsplash gives this space a contemporary craftsman feel. Lower cabinet pullout storage add to the functionality.
Berry - Stairwell and Kitchen Eating Area - Before Remodel
This stairwell was carpeted, dark and narrow. The eating area was dark with no character.

An opened up stair wall and new see through craftsman style railings were added to make the space look and feel more open. Recessed ceiling lighting in the kitchen and the stairwell, as well as two custom pottery light fixtures were added over the new table to brighten the area. New stained oak wood stairs and custom craftsman trim were added to finish the remodel. Fun custom upholstered teak chairs, colorful area rug and artwork complete the look.
Brighton Residence - Dining Room - Before Updating
My client wanted to brighten and update their home with new colors, area rugs, draperies and accessories, but they needed to keep most of their current furniture. Based on their input, I chose a neutral pallet with touches of purple throughout. This was my client's dining room before the update.
Brighton - Dining Room - After Updating
To update this space and make it brighter, I added new easy to install click lock engineered wood flooring, lighter colored wall paint, a beautiful contemporary patterned area rug and floor to ceiling
two toned linen draperies to match. Relocating the wine rack, as well as removing one of the floral arrangements and the ficus tree made the space more open and inviting, and adding the extra upholstered chairs gave the space more seating and that extra designer touch.

Brighton - Breakfast Area Before Updating
Again, this area needed updating from the darker tuscan look to a brighter, more open feel.
Brighton - Breakfast Area After Updating
Rather than the mess and expense of removing the old wallpaper, I had a light colored paint/water wash applied over the whole papered area, and the section below the chair rail painted in a complimentary light color. I had the chairs resurfaced in a metalic silver paint as well as reupholstered with a fun purple. Adding off white, semi sheer, longer length draperies helped the room feel larger and more open, and a new contemporary light fixture, art work and more simplified table decor completed the look.

In order to brighten this room, recessed lighting was added overhead, and a fresh coat of paint in a lighter color was added to the walls. The red brick fire place surround was painted in the same color as the walls to make the room more contemporary, and a large, cream on cream patterned area rug was added to make the whole room feel larger. New floral patterned custom draperies and chair were added for added texture to the overall neutral pallet, and pops of purple were added.
Brighton - Foyer - Before Updating
This foyer was too dark and had too much going on. It felt crowded and obstructed the walkway to the back of the house.
Brighton - Foyer - After Updating
I opened up this foyer by updating the paint color, reducing the amount of art, and removing the greenery. By adding a small, lavender upholstered bench that followed the curve of the staircase wall, adding a small accent table featuring a sophisticated lamp, and adding a light colored area rug with lavender accents, this foyer now welcomes people into the home.

Before Remodel
My clients' had acquired a rented warehouse building to use for their non-profit organization's meeting spaces. Because none of the walls were load bearing, they asked me to draw up plans to move walls and remodel the current spaces to create space for their reception area, offices, two large meeting rooms, a conference room, and childcare room.
They also asked me to assist them in choosing all the construction finishes, including flooring, paint colors, lighting, furniture and decor.

After Remodel
An industrial farmhouse look was my clients' desired style. Luxury vinyl plank flooring was chosen for ease of care and softness under foot. A rustic industrial style coffee bar was created for character and community, and new, comfortable furniture was added to complete this meeting room.

Front Entrance - Before Remodel
This entry area was dark, small and uninviting, with no designated reception area.

Front Entrance/Reception - After Remodel
We moved the wall on the right over a couple feet, creating a larger reception area, and making the hallway fall between the reception room and 2nd meeting room, rather than straight through the front. We enclosed the open window and doorway to create a backdrop behind the reception desk. New recessed lighting in the ceiling and a light neutral paint color made this space bright and inviting. A farmhouse sliding door was added to separate the reception area from the main meeting room, and a distressed reception desk was added to showcase the farmhouse look upon entry.

Child Care Room Mural
My clients wanted a fun, animal themed child care area. I offered to hand paint a large mural on one of the walls as my contribution to support their non-profit. It was an honor to work with these folks and support their cause, which is dear to my heart.
